3 Predictions.

1. The Senate will absolutely, 100%, pass the House reconciliation bill. They will strip out the Cornhusker Kickback, the Louisiana Purchase, all of the main Republican talking points, and then disavow the initial votes. Passing the reconciliation bill not only passes the bill, but gives political cover to Senatorial sausage-making from the first go-round. It's a big net plus for the Senate.

2. All the parliamentary objections to the reconciliation bill will be completely ignored. The Democrats DO NOT CARE about means, only ends.

3. Call this the Geraghty Theorum: Obama will revise or abandon the Stupak executive order within 18 months.

[I was going to make another prediction regarding the amount of alcohol I would be consuming this evening, but that would be more of a retrospective at this point. I watched the Stupak presser.]

Well, this weekend was fun.

So what did we learn from the healthcare debacle?

- Democrats don't care about process. So fine, screw them, let's filibuster every damn thing that gets to the floor - judges, funding, everything. What are they going to do now? Whine about the democratic process?

- The Democrats think Americans stupid. Too stupid to pick their own healthcare. Too stupid to see that blatant quid pro quo it took to pass the monstrosity.

- We should do Louise Slaughter a favor and cancel Congress's health plan, if it's so evil that we can't subject seniors to it. We should cancel health care for the whole Congress, actually. Let them buy off the new exchanges they love so much.

- There is no such thing as a pro-life Democrat.

- Paul Ryan is the star we hoped Bobby Jindal would be.
